The next MN2600 meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 7th, 2008 at 5pm CST.

The meeting begins at Mall of America, in the north food court. We typically congregate at the row of tables starting between the Dairy Queen and the Greek food place (or whatever that shop happens to be that month). We don't have a sign or anything, but you can usually look for a group of unruly social misfits with various electronics. (We try to have some technology visible, anyway.) If you're not sure, there's no harm in asking -- at worst, you'll get a "no." Sure beats lurking for an hour and giving up, disappointed, unsure of whether or not the group you saw was 2600.

We used to say "across from Burger king & the bank of payphones that don't take incoming calls," but we're not so close to BK anymore, and lately no one can figure out we mean the payphones in the hallway to the restrooms. Clarity FTW.

[edit] Aftermeeting

After the MoA portion of the meeting (~7pm), we tend to depart to spend more quality time at a coffee shop, usually one in Minneapolis. (There's almost always someone offering rides to the carless.) The current aftermeeting location is Java J's, in the whorehouse warehouse "North Loop" district of Minneapolis.

(Historically the second half of the meeting has been held at CyberX (RIP), Guru, and Plan B, among others I'm likely forgetting.)

Meetings are typically an informal affair consisting of mostly random topics and undirected discussion.
